This is hilarious. When I take the quick quiz it says I’m from Kansas (most similar city is Omaha, NE), but when I take the extended quiz it says I’m from San Francisco. I was born & raised in Iowa (so I said pop not soda, even though I’ve switched IRL) but have lived in the Bay Area for >20y. 🤔
My dad was a Depression baby and he ate potatoes every day of his childhood. 🥔

We were asked if we were Canadian when we were in NZ and it remains one of the biggest compliments I’ve ever received.

Several confided that if they didn't know if someone was American or Canadian, they always guessed Canadian. They didn't want to offend Canadians, but didn't care if they offended Americans.
I came home earlier to find 6 turkeys blocking my driveway and hanging out on the lawn. 🦃

This is a WILD story. We lived in El Cerrito for 15 years and were there in 2016, the last time the vote on a new library failed. But the saddest part of this story? The fact that "more than 15,000 people in El Cerrito have a Nextdoor account" and only 11,000 people voted in the primary election.
