Because bifurious was taken... and Imperator Furiosa is so great. The 'formerly at Twitter but that's turned into even more of a cesspit' feed for https://bifurious.co.uk Pronouns: *

ICYMI, Anthropic is advertising an executive assistant role for senior management in London, and the job description has me asking a lot of questions, like "Aren't these all things you keep telling us AI can do?"

Richard Eyre is on BBC Radio 4's Today programme talking about casting Ian Charleson as Hamlet in 1989. And the presenter is agreeing that 'little was known' about Aids at the time in terms of things like life expectancy for people with it. Erm...

If you want to know how much of a shit Jeffrey Archer was - spoiler, a huge one - as various outlets call him 'extraordinary', read the biography by Michael Crick.

I still prefer this to the bi pride flag. The flag's designer didn't want a symbol that signified queerness in the way that an adaptation of the pink triangle did, not least because of his personal history. I like the moBIus strip even more...

The moBIus strip (a pink, blue, and purple Mobius strip shaped like a triangle) on the front of a t-shirt made c2001.

The badge in this post was designed by artist Liz Nania in the 1980’s. It features the ‘Biangles’ - two overlapping pink and blue triangles, creating a purple triangle in the overlap - which were one of the very first symbols for bisexual visibility.

Hello for Bi Visibility Day. I've identified as bi+ since age 11 or 12, thanks to a combination of realising that if I fantasised about a m/f couple being sexual, I fancied both of them, & reading a very 'yeah, this is what society says, this is what actually happens' sex ed book that named that.

New NFL season, but Sky Sports Mix continues with its habit of messing up the start of NFL RedZone. This time, the sound is a distorted mess of music / ambient noise from a stadium. And the picture has had issues too.

Still thinking about the 'Tao of Glass' I saw last week. At the risk of sounding pretentious, most of the shows by @openspacer.bsky.social have left me feeling that I have been in the presence of theatrical genius, and this was no exception. And with Philip Glass too! He is the only director...

It wasn't "couldn't", it was 'deliberately chose not to hire enough Burmese-speaking moderators'. Result: the Rohingya genocide. What did Zuckerberg say was his greatest regret a few years after this was clear? Doing fencing rather than wrestling at high school.

Facebook got stick for how its systems couldn't pick up hate speech in Burmese. A decade on, the same rhetoric is now in (extremely colloquial) Malay, English and Chinese, and Facebook automoderation will cheerfully tell you it or some hapless Accenture hire found nothing wrong every time

BiCon 2026 starts next Friday afternoon - that's one week away! Online and in person (Nottingham, central England) socialising plus serious and silly sessions over a weekend for bi+ people and their friends & allies.

The circular logo for BiCon 2026 is used to say that it is "ONE week to BiCon 2026"

Apparently, the second highest paid podcast ($70 million a year) gets about 6,800 views per episode on YouTube and about 1,600 listeners a month. WTAF?!? Yes, nice work if you are privileged enough to get it, but on what basis is it worth that much?

It's now three weeks to BiCon 2026 in Nottingham and online. If you have been thinking of coming, do book soon: it makes the organising a lot easier.

Three circular BiCon 2026 logos in a diagonal line say it's four "weeks to BiCon 2026"

Flyering for BiCon - "a weekend of things for people attracted to more than one gender, in Nottingham and online, four weeks time!" - at Notts Pride today. Sorry about the colours being upside down - I have a blue t-shirt but not a pink hat...

The WordPress #wp2shell security hole is horrendous. But at least I now know why WP has always allowed attackers to attempt to login as many times as they like, as fast as they like: they were working on a way to let people completely control your site without bothering to login!
