Hello! I'm a Gold ENnie-winning (2024) writer and TTRPG designer. I run Curious Chimeras, an indie TTRPG company in Singapore, and freelance as a writer, editor, and consultant for Evil Hat, Paizo, Pelgrane, Renegade, and Wizards of the Coast.
Hello we have a pop-up table at Tsutaya Books Bukit Jalil showcasing and selling RPGs and accessories from a group of local designers and creatives. The Imaginary Friends exhibition runs from 4 August - 1 September 2026, featuring: me, @munkao.bsky.social, @najmizes.bsky.social, & Nightshade Tavern.
Over last weekend, visited 2 events; first was Ambin Ubin Open House, a festival to showcase and celebrate the lives and lifeworlds of the Orang Pulau (island people) and Orang Laut (sea nomads) of and around Singapore, and the other was Table Con Quest (TCQ), a convention focused on tabletop games.

I appreciate everyone who has been rightfully not blaming Paizo as a company for this turn of events. The creative department had a tearful meeting with Erik Mona this morning to talk it through as a team. Erik cares about us just as much as we care about each other. He didn't want this; no one did.
I guess I can say it now: I'm one of the folks hit by the Paizo layoffs. My last day will be in early July. I'm devastated. I love the folks I've worked with the past three years. I love the fans. I love the games we made. If you have an opening for a remote editor, I'd love to hear from you.

Running a Werewolf 5e game set in 1990 Singapore (making sense of the "new" setting vis-a-vis the "old" has been quite an exercise in, Zizekian sniff incoming, dialectics haha). Like I'm fond of new non-genetic determinist approach to Garou, for e.g. even if other new troubling implications pop up..

Thank you again @silentinfinity.bsky.social for covering Hellfire Dispatches! I really like how the whole book worked out, and enjoyed reading it. I wrote the Fangwood section, and that chapter's POV character, Sir Kieran of House Graytree, is probably the fave NPC I've made! Check our work out!

Looking at student assignments for my critical thinking classes as well as my storytelling classes, comparing over the years... And the general coherence, effort, quality dropped a great deal over the last 2+ years, coinciding with when my fellows started pushing genAI into every part of the system.
Teaching in universities has become increasingly tiring. Class sizes have gone up (used to teach 20-30 students, sometimes I now teach 40, maybe even 100+ students in a class, because some unis pay me for 1 class but give 2-3 classes worth of work, etc). Ah idk how long I can go on like this haha.
Just got back from the United Kingdom, happy I could see the cherry blossoms in London and pass some Chinese New Year/Ramadan festive cookies to Kellynn, as well as @babblegumsam.bsky.social and @pixelgrotto.bsky.social! Truly happy to meet and reconnect with my TTRPG family everywhere in the world.

Happy to hang out with my fellow bald bearded Asian game writer @pixelgrotto.bsky.social in London! I think people might have mistaken us for brothers at some point LOL. Saw a copy of Hellbreakers in Orcs Nest and was tempted to buy it but I remembered my copy should be flying in to me anytime now!
Feeling emotional about the release of Hellbreakers. I've been an editor at Paizo for almost 3 years, but this is the first time I've *written* for us. It comes almost 7 years to the day that @scribemind.bsky.social's Uncaged Anthology Vol. 1 came out, marking my debut in TTRPGs. What a journey!
