I’m here to bullshit about all sports, news, comics, wrestling, movie ,music , drinking, and anything else

What bugs me about Dodger Discourse is that it shifts the focus off of genuine malfeasance by other teams. The Tigers just quasi-quit on a playoff race that they're very much still in! Who did that to their fans? It wasn't Boras, Manfred, or the LAD

This New York Times article, which ran a week before Christmas last year, didn’t get the attention it deserved. It detailed Trump and Epstein's predatory behavior toward women – “a game of ego and dominance” in which “female bodies were currency.” Here’s a gift link and a thread. 1/6🧵

‘Don’s Best Friend’: How Epstein and Trump Bonded Over the Pursuit of Women (Gift Article)

The president has tried to minimize their friendship, but documents and interviews reveal an intense and complicated relationship. Chasing women was a game of ego and dominance. Female bodies were cur...

#EventsDearBoy 14. THE HELLFIRE GALA (2021, Marvel) The highest placed Krakoa era event not because it's necessarily the best but because it's the *most* Krakoa-ish: what could sum up this biggest of in-continuity swings better than a fashion-forward event based on a party not a battle?

MARAUDERS 21: Russell Dauterman draws Emma Frost, in an off the shoulder white dress and a preposterous X-shaped hat, holding a glass of champagne and an invitation to the Hellfire Gala

#EventsDearBoy 15. UNITY (1992, Valiant) Despite my fondness for it, the argument for Jim Shooter as the early event era GOAT does not rest on Secret Wars II. A lot of it relies on UNITY, the 18-part event that turned Valiant from the darling of canny speculators into a mainstream hot property

was thinking today about that interview virgil abloh gave in like 2019 when he said streetwear is dead and then gave a bunch of caveats and pulled back a little and how at the time I thought psh that's crazy there are kids just getting into it but you know what he was right, it's all SO dead

Booker Wright was a waiter in the 60's describing the terrorism Black workers endured from white people. He kept smiling because he wanted his kids to have a better life. This was only 60 years ago.

FASCINATING (😏) that the media seems more invested in mentioning Taco Bell by name…instead of Taylor Farms, a repeat offender who choices have already killed/harmed so many. How many more will suffer because folks love judging/ignoring lower-income people?

Gauff Keeps Goin'! As Jessica Pegula's final shot hit the net, Coco Gauff turned to her box and mouthed the words... "Oh my god! How?!" The American, who hadn't won a grasscourt match in 2 years before this year's Wimbledon, pulls off a masterful comeback to win, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Black people lost voting rights because of Mitch. Black women lost thousands of jobs because Mitch refused to vote to impeach Trump 3x. Black childbirth mortality rates spiked even higher because of Mitch. When Black ppl died from Covid in 2020, Mitch said it was a "blue state problem".

Before the whitewash comes in, a reminder that because of Mitch Mconnell American women are dying and bleeding out because they were denied abortion care. Because of McConnell the Russians were free to interfere in our elections. Because of Mitch billionaires are coddled while kids get screwed over.
