I've worked in Democratic digital comms for a long time and pay attention to campaign metrics across platforms. Increasingly I'm seeing Dems who crosspost on X, Bluesky, and Threads get better engagement on Bluesky even with far fewer followers. Here's @jamestalarico.bsky.social's clip last night:

I just asked my three year old what her favorite dinosaur was, expecting that she would indeed say triceratops (or "topatops" as she calls them) but instead she told me her favorite kind is "rosa" aka pink. Fair enough

Try extending that graph to the left. There's a reason it was truncated there. This is a perfectly normal usage profile. Whenever a user joins a given site, there's a standard falloff curve where a fraction leaves. Since Bluesky's users have mainly come in spikes, that's just the normal curve.
