People still complain about “lockdowns” but we had none in the US. We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.

The line, IMO, should be no AI use, but I think it’s especially foolish for using it for “research” and counterproductive for fact-checking. I’m baffled how anyone thinks that’s okay, or in any way useful.

i guess i’ll post this now and hope i have something to go off in the morning, but — i would like to talk to writers/creatives about where they draw the line when it comes to using AI. is using AI for things like research/fact-checking ok, and if so, what is the point where it goes too far?

"I support cyclists and their right to ride safely on the road but only if they follow the rules all of the time" is an absolutely unhinged thing to say in a country where we have drivers killing tens of thousands of people each year and speeding while playing on your phone is normal and accepted

I'm not going to be relitigating COVID lockdowns or mask mandates. Both were necessary measures that saved lives. If you cannot accept the curtailing of even the minor of freedoms in the name of public safety, you have demonstrated that you do not give a solitary fuck about the rest of us.

Lies of P is such a Fantastic game, & I'm looking forward to being able to play it on my #Switch2. 2 QoL things I love: 1) they put a save point quite close to main boss arenas, saving you from annoying run-backs, & 2) you can recover your resources just outside the entrance to a boss arena...
