It’s not enough to be not; be anti-. Anti-fascist. Anti-racist. Anti-bigot. Anti-supremacist. Anti-capitalist. #BicycleTravel : @intoaheadwind.bsky.social Expect a whole sort of general mishmash of my interests & passions, w/ a lot of #Splatoon3 stuff.

Bluesky is a "liberal bubble" because fascist chuds can't get traction without algorithmic assistance and because people here trained themselves to block "debate me" trybois the instant they roll up

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

It's not just that people view cars and bikes as equally dangerous -- it's that they then use these examples of red light running to argue *against* safe bike infrastructure. Drivers are never to held that standard for automotive projects!

According to anti-cyclist replies, here's evidence that cars and bikes are equally dangerous: 🚗: They kill ~40000 people in the US annually 🚲: I saw a cyclist run a red light 30 years ago

Please stop saying “lockdowns.” There were never true lockdowns in the US, and it fuels far right narratives to repeat this inaccurate statement. You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.

Dr. Lucky Tran@luckytran.com · 6d ago

People still complain about “lockdowns” but we had none in the US. We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.

"I support cyclists and their right to ride safely on the road but only if they follow the rules all of the time" is an absolutely unhinged thing to say in a country where we have drivers killing tens of thousands of people each year and speeding while playing on your phone is normal and accepted

- Gore lost as a centrist - Obama won bc he campaigned as a populist then lost both the House and Senate after governing as a centrist - Hillary lost as a centrist - Biden won as a Hail Mary then became one of the least popular presidents in modern history - Kamala lost as a centrist

"I am not going to be in the same party with Hasan Piker ... if he becomes a force in the Democratic Party, I am out of here," James Carville says on Fox this morning. Reminder: The Left Insurgency airs tonight on CNN at 8p ET.

Hello I have made this due to a mutual having issues with some folks on here forgetting this fact and shouting at him for it. Feel free to use it as a handy PSA x

A crappy photoshop paint image with a red star on blue, in comic sans is the message 'some people on the internet aren't American'

ALL I ask is that people who reject Universal Basic Income out of hand because “People need to work” interrogate WHY they believe this instead of assuming it as a starting point.

Splatoon 4 Salmon Run pitch: upon returning from the Spirhalite Islands, the Mechanic is hired as Grizzco's R&D lead engineer, charged with creating non-spirhalite versions of weapons & gadgets (an excuse to make them useful w/out being OP in SR) & explaining to new employees how to use them. 🤔

And I truly don’t mean this as a “ha men are so dumb.” I genuinely think men need to be on the lookout for this in their friends and shouldn’t be afraid to say “hey you have to stop, it is fucking up your brain.”

At the risk of making generalizations I really think men, particularly, need to be concerned about this. The kind of attention they are socialized to want is exactly what’s being exploited here, and other men are going to need to yank their bros out of this.

YouTuber Hank Green Admits He Has Unhealthy Relationship With AI After Facing Backlash Over Recent Video 'The level of dopamine I've been getting from interacting with LLMs is not healthy for me,' said Green

Yes. My anarchism is deeply rooted in compassion and empathy, in understanding that humans evolved in communities, working together for the betterment of everyone. That's our greatest strength as a species; cooperation and collaboration.
