When Mike Davis of Blerds Underground looked around at ComicsPro 2023, he was surprised to find no one who looked like him. He started asking around... "Where are all the Black retailers?" The collective response: "Let us know when you find them." Three years later, he's doing exactly that.

Virgil has always been a part of the plan. When I first sat down with Marquis in New York, he pitched it from the jump: “…and then we bring in Static!” As an editor, his job is curation and protecting these characters, and the care and thought he’s shown for Virgil has seriously been inspiring.

It seems the Eisner Award ballots are now officially open, so if you're a voter, SKTCHD is a nominee in the Best Comics-Related Periodical/Journalism category and I hear it's pretty cool! I'm very proud of what I've been doing at SKTCHD, and I would certainly appreciate the consideration.
