I've been a public librarian for 20 years. I've been a victim of racist and sexist microaggressions, sexually harassed and threatened. But never have I've been called a n*gg*r until today. HE SCREAMED IT AT ME. Last time I was called that word, it was my freshmen year of college in NYC in 1990.

Today I am going to New York Library Association #nylaconference. It's Election Day in NYC. Last year, I travelled to NYLA on the same day as the presidential election day. I just knew I was going to go to bed knowing Kamala would be president but she isn't and it's been a hellscape ever since.

While out to eat, I overheard 2 old yt men arguing about how Trump isn't that bad, and started listing all of the wrong things that Obama did. They agreed that Trump was a POS but had done some good things. Couldn't list what the good things were, but it felt the only good thing is his whiteness

btw trying to get human beings to stop having niche kinks or to stop liking sex fantasties is like trying to get teenagers to stop having sex. the more you prohibit it the more they do is, and the more unhealthily they do it, and the more they are susceptible to abuse within it. please stop trying

As a NYer who is absolutely excited about the mayoral election, I sometimes respond to positive posts about Zohran. My responses are bland "I hope he wins." In the last 24 hours, I got a reply calling me a b*tch with an article about an undocumented man who raped an 11 y.o. (1/2)

For the record. My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers. I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."
