i'm tired of entitled people thinking life OWES them full access to everything just because they want it. it's such a disturbing trend and i genuinely feel icky seeing people act this way. 'i deserve it for free because i want it!!!!!!' you ... you do realise how messed up that is, yeah?

"I'm entitled to whatever I want whenever I want it for any reason and I don't care what satisfying these urges does to me or the world" well okay dude, seems like there's something deeper going on here, but that's just my take

30 hours of sewing so far... lots and lots of French knots but some of the grass areas are now being filled too! If you didn't see the first post, this is an aerial embroidery inspired by moorlands. At this point I still can't estimate how long it'll take in full but I'm not half way yet 😊🌱

An embroidery hoop containing a work in progress of an aerial landscape. It has mid-green knot trees and light green areas of grass between. It has sketches of roads and trees for guiding future stitches.

RIGHT? Like, I'm not the dude's biggest fan. But I do think he has massive power to convince people with his Rational Research Dude platform and it is very concerning that he framed this whole thing as "oh a little oopsie" and not "the affirmation machine feels so good I stopped doing my job"

For writers worried that they won't be able to "prove" their work isn't Spicy Autocomplete--worry not. You thought about every choice and will be able to talk about those choices easily and clearly. Folks who used the slop machine didn't make choices and won't have anything to say about why

If anybody was excited that Science Fiction Weekly is aiming to "revive" Daily Science Fiction, you should know they are straight-up lying about having gotten permission from writers to republish DSF stories on their website. (Yes, I have sent a DCMA takedown notice.)

The cultural shift in western media to only cover what things *look like* instead of what things *are* is a direct result of the passionate desire among uneducated, scared people to have an authoritarian tell them how to be. The result is authoritarianism. Wow. Big shocker.
