Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!

I'm seeing something about #WebcomicDay on here. In 2007 I started making a webcomic, you might have read it in school. deadwinter.cc I got like ~15 pages before I reach the end of the comic and start something new, but those pages take me a little while to draw. Read up before the end of the line!

Four people settle in around a park bench, looking wistfully up into the sky.

when you wanna talk about racism in a male-dominated fandoms (whether from the work itself or the fans) they'll tell you to shut up and gtfo. queer-dominated fandoms will rightfully call that out and insist that they will never like that. but when the time comes....

Charlie Brown slips after Lucy lifts the football before he can kick it.

Bluesky is funny because a lot of people over here will call twitter the "nazi website" and then fully and unironically spend days making excuses for racism and anti blackness. Some people seem genuinely incapable of calling out racism when it comes from someone who isn't a far right conservative.

i think people overestimate how many people are hate watching something. like the majority of people watching the harry potter reboot are ignorant (willfully and not) to JK’s shit

there could have been an entire episode dealing with the fallout of what jax did in ep7 and reaching the conclusion we see the characters make at the beginning of episode 8. that five minute therapy scene was not it 😭

"media thats nice and wholesome always have bad fandoms, but edgy and dark media always has nice fandoms" that's not true. people only think that's the case because the contrast between wholesome content and terrible fandoms is more interesting to them.

I think white liberals/leftists really need to work on not responding to discourse with a smug, unempathetic attitude. It's a little baffling to me to get snarky about black people being offended by the use of a racial slur, even if unintional.
