Also, anxiety and ADHD are highly correlated, which is obvious to anyone with ADHD who’s had a lot of awful experiences with “constantly messing things up without realizing you’re doing it, leading you to a life of wondering at all times if you’re doing something horribly wrong.”

it me! not that antidepressants are substance abuse, but I don’t need them anymore since being on vyvanse more relevant: am now generally a lot less prone to the kind of depressive-impulsive behavior that can easily escalate to physical harm

It is very hard to relax if you’ve spent a lot of your life constantly re-learning the message of “at any time, you will likely be confronted with news that your horrible ADHD brain forgot to do something incredibly important, and now everyone is mad at you.”
