i think it is genuinely an issue of context, application, and effort. colorful and stylized can yes have a "mobile look" feel cheap and unpolished trying not to pull the "spiderverse" card,, but theres nuance and appeal in a style provided the effort itself is all in, esp w 3d cel or hybrid.
