Opposite end of the spectrum, micromini tomato plants are impossible to fully harvest - thus, self-seed everywhere. Which might be fine, except they’re always the first victim of blight - magnetizing fungi to innocent nearby tomatoes. A fun novelty in a pot maybe, but never again in the field. 🌱

It is raining right now, not too hard but I can hear it on the rooftops. This is our first rain in a while, it has been so dry that the grass have turned totally brown and crisp. But today, the world smells of earth and a comforting old world. I’m reminded of playing in the rain …

We find that rising temperatures have reduced snow and ice coverage, degraded permafrost, and melted ice and snow, providing meltwater that infiltrated and weakened the bedrock. Climate change has made the very warm summer months much more likely.

🌱 🍅 Purple Bumble Bee Tomato Super sweet and rich and very pretty. A larger cherry that also won’t stop producing. Easy to slice and snack on. I’m curious about the other bumble bees out there but I don’t know if I can skip growing this one next year!

Purple Bumble Bee tomato. Indeterminate, 70 days, 0.5oz or 1” round shape. A snacking or salad tomato with a umami rich taste.
