Quite proud of this year tbh 5 projects from page to stage 13 artists / companies supported £149,473 raised £364,413 applied for £214,940 rejected Next year will slow down a bit as your girl has a job BUT I am still so excited for the many projects and artists to come 🫶 ta very much for now x

CeCe McDonald wrote from a prison cell on November 16, 2012: "Trans Day of Remembrance: A Proposal" "We need for our mission to promote racial, social, and economic justice for trans youth, with freedom to self-define gender identity and expression. "[To have rights and a voice. To be able to walk in this world, not afraid and actually feel like a human being and not a shadow in a corner. "I would have rather been punished for asserting myself than become another victim of hatred. "We need to not only celebrate for Trans Day of Remembrance, but also become self-aware and ready to put an end to our community being the focus of violence. Of course it is more than important to recognize and pay homage to our fallen, but we also need to put our feet down and start being real leaders and making this stand."

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. It exists to remind us of those those in our community we have lost to violence, which trans people are four times more likely to experience than cis people. This is our reality: bigotry, harassment, and violence are ever-present, and yet we still find joy.

Started my new job as Assistant Producer at LAMDA this week. Feeling very proud seeing as producing is something I learned on the job and essentially taught myself after seeing the damage COVID caused. Never actually thought I’d make a career out of it. And yet… Here’s to new beginnings 🌤️
