Found this lovely bit of hagiography for Mrs. Chiang Kai-shek in the back of Wonder Woman #6 from 1943. Honestly wasn't expecting that. This is why originals are better than reprint collections if you can get them. Sooo much cultural context in the back matter.

I love my job. My mileage on my career varies for many, many reasons but Redcoat is such a pleasure. Some days are better than others but then you get an issue like issue 20 and I can't draw fast enough to get the pages out of my head.

Duncan let me and Jess watch ROGUE TROOPER last night and HOLY FUCKING SHIT, GANG! It's sooooo fucking good. Hilarious, fun, hard-R violent, adapted straight from the pages of the comic. 2000AD fans are gonna lose their minds, and just try not to throw a fist in the air at the final needle drop. 🤯🤯🤯

I'm REALLY looking forward to this. One of the most gripping books so far this year. With absolutely no credit taken from Phillip's excellent writing, @marclaming.bsky.social's clean, detailed, and effortless visual storytelling puts you inside the story, in the boat, feeling the building dread.

D'Orc #7, variant cover. (Uncolored.) Some of you guys wanted to see the D'Orc #7 pen and ink original cover art. Well, here it is. I actually enjoyed drawing this. Every time I do something cartoony, I always see a hint of Wally Wood or Walt Kelly in my art. *** D'Orc #7 comes out in August.
