the migration is complete! knot1.tangled.sh now runs on rust 🦀
hi all, we will be performing a migration on knot1.tangled.sh, all repositories on the knot will be read-only on tangled.org while we do this. the expected downtime is about 5-10 minutes if all goes well, apologies for the trouble! if you do encounter issues, post a message in this thread!
Hey y'all 👋. I'm really happy everyone has seemed to enjoy the release! Decided to make an account to make it offical offical.
I’ve been working on an Exaclidraw fork for about a week that syncs your drawings to your Atmosphere account as well as uses Iroh for realtime encrypted end to end collaborative work. I feel like it’s at a stage where I can share it. Meet lexidraw.app!

from the policy: "A project that implements a protocol incompatible with the AT Protocol must use its own distinct name." so uhhh, incompatible with what, exactly?
one done, two left, and one more for private.
there are so many posts I should write and my writing speed is so slow 😭 - how to setup air-gapped tangled infra for local development (replacing old nixos-vm one) - my military service journey (it's been more than a year now..) - atproto COB situation <- I should finish this before IETF...
Sharing this! Wish I'm not late for #IETF126 Tangled found PDS doesn't fit well for contributions even with upcoming permissioned space spec. So, we are planning to store record-like data outside of PDS, in Knot. This is a post explaining the reasons & upstream spec change we need. #atproto #atdev

Is @leaflet.pub broken right now? (try to select any section of the page)
Collaborative Objects. But I'd like to rename it to Contributive Objects in my next post to differentiate from permissioned space use-case. You can find my old post here: leaflet.pub/p/did:plc:xa...

one nice lil upgrade for bluesky's standard.site embed cards would be to look up the relevant site.standard.graph.subscription record when displaying the embed card e.g. the card still prompts me to subscribe to @dholms.at's leaflets even though i already am
I'm listing out all hurdles I faced while using @htmx.org because just saying "Our application is too complex for HTMX" doesn't help much. At what level of complexity does an application start choosing JS frameworks over HTMX?

I should write a new blog post about Tangled's COB situation. It's one of the fields atproto hasn't solved yet (even with permissioned space) and I think there are few more services that can benefit from this architecture other than Tangled.
two types of applications I haven't seen in #atproto even with upcoming permissioned space. 1. collaborative space where space does actually own the contributed data - Tangled should solve this. 2. federated space like wikipedia. - similar to case 1, but with distributed ownership over the data.
This thread is pure gold. I wish we had native tangled code embed in bluesky. Wonder what I can do to support it 🤔
random atproto sync notes - for whole-network backfill, you have to spread your `getRepo` requests across PDS hosts to get reasonable throughput, so it's a scheduling problem. it's also a spec-SHOULD to make these requests directly to your upstream (not PDSes directly) and follow its redirects.
people love the For You feed, and it shows in the numbers. it generates around 4% of post views inside feeds on Bluesky. that's amazing especially because it's operated by one dev, @spacecowboy17.bsky.social given its popularity, we've decided to give it a bump in visibility on the feeds page.

Neovim multicursor (local branch 😇) is in a "mergeable" state now (but you can see some bugs in this demo :D) This will quite literally be a killer feature: Vim will have no choice but to copy it (like :terminal and jobs). No changes needed from any plugin; everything Just
