If Evil Dead needs to be franchised like all other horror properties, then using it as an avenue in which Sam Raimi can give money to promising indie horror filmmakers to make their own take on the Evil Dead formula is probably the best way to do it

Kinda loved Shūji Teryama’s The Boxer (1977). Pretty funny that it really is just a straight-faced and straight-laced boxing drama without any swerves or collapses of diegetic delirium, but GOD the textures are so good and dank, even before Terayama‘s characteristic kaleidoscope starts working.
