Ooooohhhh!!! That's on my next bookshop-visit buy list. Recommend Ian Green to both science fiction and/or fantasy fans -- have enjoyed everything he's written so far in both genres and TBH there's crossover anyway so go for any of them.

The Deep and the Drowned, an action-packed seafaring fantasy adventure by @ianthegreen.bsky.social is out this week: beneath a sky ruled by gods and monsters is a drowned land. For a decade Killian has sailed between these thousands of scattered isles trading, making money- and enemies... #SFF 💙📚🪐

The cover of the book. A painting in dramatic shades of blue water and red underwater weeds and sky, depicting a giant teethsome sea serpent breaking the surface, a tiny sailing boat tossed on the waves beside it

Good morning Blue Sky! Today I’m currently reading the last few chapters of This Is Where The Future Bleeds by Mike Brooks and it is an excellent smart and funny fantasy. What are you reading at the moment? Replies may be delayed as at the beach this morning - I suffer deep down

Death, resurrection, hunger, and rage... A gorgeous and gothic queer love story following the desires and dreams of a trio of enigmatic young women, V.E. Schwab's BURY OUR BONES IN THE MIDNIGHT SOIL is Waterstones' Science fiction & Fantasy Book of the Month for August! #WBOTM 🦇🩸 #SFF 🪐📚💙

Had a wonderful time reading Home Sick by Rhiannon Grist a wonderful modern folk horror for the socially awkward of us with a dark side. Tense, emotional and wonderfully told it works even on a very warm day to chill this reader. Review to come

Listening to this book of short stories, and it's so incredible. (Yet another superb choice in my Anton Hur Translated This Libby tags. This tag has never ONE TIME steered me wrong.) #SFF

Illustrated cover of If We Cannot Go at the Speed of Light, by Kim Choyeop, translated from the Korean by Anton Hur, read by Rosa Escoda. A person in a pink jacket and jeans stands in an auditorium with two rows of empty seats, looking at a back screen that shows continents in pink and maybe space/sea in blue. A large conical portion is in black with star streaks across the sky.
