Well, I've just busted through 60k on the WIP! ...we won't discuss how close I already was to 60k at the start of the working day, that's the sort of meaningless detail that would be dealt with by, I don't know, local councillors.

Really weird to me how incredibly rich white men get to say stuff like "in three to four years we'll be achieving nuclear fusion from honey" and the stock markets go "wow, sounds great bro!" and the news just reports it with maybe a paragraph at the end of "critics say this is unlikely".
Do try to remember that the EHRC guidance only affects service providers and not employment, so if you work somewhere where there are toilets or changing rooms for employees that aren’t open to the public then your employers are wrong if they try to stop you from using facilities for your gender

I am still utterly gobsmacked by companies who want to pass themselves off as author-centric thinking that being "AI"-friendly is a good thing. Even the *perception* of being "AI"-friendly is enough to make actual authors avoid your services like the plague.
I'm sure I have recounted on here the time someone shat on the doorstep of the homeless hostel I used to work at (not one of our residents, I'll hasten to add). The hostel where, on the front wall, we had obvious and clearly labelled CCTV cameras.

Aware that I'm probably sixty or so years late to the joke, but while considering how to write a m/m sex scene in the WIP I've suddenly realised what the intended (albeit disguised) meaning might have been behind the Sandy & Julian catchphrase "we're versatile!"...
"or marge if you're on a diet" was the go-to phrase from recipes on TV, IIRC.
