Ward was in town ahead of yesterday’s 1992-‘93 celebration and passed away of natural causes, the club said in a release. He was 62.
Wilson Contreras is from Venezuela and has been very publicly struggling with his emotions this week. Cavalli, knowing this, yelled a racially-charged taunt at him. Contreras got tossed. Cavalli continued pitching. I love baseball, but MLB is a horrific organization.

Casual misogyny is so exhausting. And now this incident is being celebrated with t-shirts on sale outside of Wrigley. A fan yelled a vacuous jeer at him and PCA responded with a common sexual threat. Woman have to make themselves so small to avoid making a guy angry. It's exhausting.
