If you feel you can speak up, do. Goodyear didn't know about the problem with Myhrvold, because many reporters aren't specialists who'd even know to look. It's not always safe to say something, but, where possible, it's so important to talk about what's happening if we're going to change it.

A few weeks ago CBC reporter Sheena Goodyear reached out to me for comment on the new Spinosaurus paper. I said I couldn’t, because of Epstein connection Nathan Myhrvold’s involvement with it. We got to talking about how paleontology - especially dinosaur research- remains hostile to women. 🧪

It is the anniversary of the My Lai massacre today. I'd say that even more than most years, it's important to remember what happened. And the role Hugh Thompson, an active serviceman, played in both stopping and publicising it. Despite enormous military, political and public pressure to stay quiet.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Thursday said House Democrats will demand that ICE be banned from the use of tactical nuclear weapons without a judge's order.

‘Abolish ICE’ has become an increasingly popular position and people are being shot in the streets over it why the fuck would you dillweeds roll over like this. Especially given that citizenship is much more friable than people think it is this is not as protective as dems want it to look.

Audience culture is the worst it's ever been, I swear to god. People forgot how to act. I'm at the theater, trying to enjoy my show, which I've paid GOOD MONEY for, and these two old assholes are in the balcony heckling the life out of the poor bear onstage. Not letting him finish a single joke.

You're told it'll sabotage your career if you're a vocally politically opinionated, queer, woman. But things sabotaging my career are systemic xenophobia, sexism, and horrible job market. Which are a direct consequences of people not being vocally opinionated in the first place.

Okay, so you cannot avoid a Thanksgiving event, and it’s not entirely under your control. You’re home from college, you live with your parents, your spouse isn’t ready to process how awful their natal family is. It happens. THERE ARE STRATEGIES YOU CAN EMPLOY TO YOUR BENEFIT.
