Academics in the U.S.. be honest. If you were graduating with a PhD in the next year, would you pursue an academic career? It's becoming harder & harder to do this work every day. Specifically interested in hearing from folks at smaller schools, private unis, or community colleges.

Hey folks, I’m going to need you to care about what’s happening in states like FL, TX, IA, MO, and TN. These are, in my opinion, the most aggressive states towards trans rights and whatever they’re able to pass, others will try to follow suit. Fight back and organize with folks within these states

IPC [Feb 27] -- 18 years after Dems passed a law giving transgender Iowans civil rights protections, the state's Reps have passed a law repealing those rights, making it the first state to strip its citizens of such a broad swath of legal rights. [@rikiwilchins.bsky.social‬]
