Super frustrating to take the time and make the effort of laying out the facts of AI and why we shouldn't use it, only to be greeted by shrugging indifference from coworkers who use it to write emails and reports that no one bothers to read.

many of the early and most successful game designers and developers were women most people don't remember their names today, or recall that video game history started before the Boys Toys era funny that many of the games I grew up loving most were designed by women and I never knew til years later

Blue Bottle Games, as a policy, does not use generative AI. It's something we've discussed as a team, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately, we decided it was not for us. Recently, while chatting with a colleague, she mentioned it was useful hearing our reasoning. So: Sharing time! 1/12

Watching an ep of Bionic Six from '87. A guy invents a machine that absorbs paintings & lets someone else recreate them -- a crook steals it and calls himself an artistic genius. It's the perfect encapsulation of genAI, nearly 40 years before it existed.

Good morning! I wrote about Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle, and it's absolutely wonderful! It's a fun callback to tabletop RPGs, with a well-written story, and a narrative structure that reminded me of Resident Evil 2's (1998) zapping system. And it's also a beautifully handcrafted game.
