Up today at GameCritics.com, John Powell reviews Desk Space: Idle Spacefleet Clicker. This incremental experience largely delivers on its premise, but it lives in a strange middle ground where letting it idle was too slow, but giving it attention wasn't fast enough. tinyurl.com/n79d7k7m

Up today at GameCritics.com, Konstantin Koteski reviews Mortal Shell 2, from developer Cold Symmetry. It's hard to encapsulate what a massive leap forward this sequel is compared to the first, but there's no question it's one of 2026's best. gamecritics.com/kkoteski/mor...
Up today at GameCritics.com, Brad Bortone (the OTHER Brad) covers Nightmare Shift. This throwback-themed, short-form horror title taps into the fear that people working lonely nighttime gigs often feel when manning a desk solo. gamecritics.com/brad-bortone...

Good morning! I wrote about Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle, and it's absolutely wonderful! It's a fun callback to tabletop RPGs, with a well-written story, and a narrative structure that reminded me of Resident Evil 2's (1998) zapping system. And it's also a beautifully handcrafted game.
