I always know more about my characters than what makes it into the final version of the story. For example, my flash fic "Inconsequent" never mentions how the MC came to live in the house, but if I had decided to make it a longer story, that history would've been part of it. #HorrorWritersChat

My pap-pap died this summer, and every time I remember it, I smile. He was nice to me but racist, homophobic, transphobic, and shit in other ways too. I stopped having anything to do with him as soon as I could. If I’m ever in the area, I’ll trash his grave. May he and those like him rest in piss.
