I was in a friend’s rental car and in place of a rear-view mirror there was a mirror-sized digital video feed of the back of the car. They replaced one of the most reliable & intuitive safety features in a car with a digital surrogate that could glitch at any moment. KEEP ANALOG SAFTEY FEATURES

From what I've seen of FSU's communications to their members and supporters, they are tilting at windmills. They imagine an intention and operation that simply isn't real. Franks and Douglas Brown have publicly described aspects of the organisation, and what it does, that are totally fictional.

Scouring through the streamers last night and saw the new Magnum PI series (now cancelled) was up to FIVE SEASONS so thought OK maybe I misjudged it from my five minute watch. I had not. Honestly, it's as if they had no idea what made people watch MPI in the first place. Quite bizarre.

Interestingly, this is one of the reasons behind the Gallipoli campaign in WWI. Keeping grain/flour shipments moving from Ukraine and others around the European battlefront was vital to UK efforts.

Hey folks, This is your friendly reminder to stock up on flour. We're still buying last year's harvest but global supply reductions due to war/climate change/politics mean price increases are likely soon, potentially 50% more. It's currently cheap but that won't last long so get shopping.

Let me take a minute to tell you how bonkers this is. The first election I worked was (I think) 2008, before there was really any advance voting. At every election, if you weren't on the roll, we let you cast a special vote and then worked out if you were eligible afterwards. Two reasons: 1/2

The Electoral Commission has told staff to turn away voters who aren't on the printed roll and who say they're unenrolled, but has no plans to count how many people will be affected. newsroom.co.nz/2026/08/03/t...
