Many outlets are reporting that Nolan's (excellent) new movie is the first full-on big-screen adaptation of THE ODYSSEY... ... but this is not so. There's also the quite-good ULYSSES (1954) starring Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn! Worth a look.

The 70mm presentation of the THE ODYSSEY at the historic Directors Village in Westwood (now operated by the great @amcinematheque.bsky.social) is truly spectacular.

The constant misuse of the apostrophe by grown-ass people will be the death of me.

Alas, my version of 'Zorro' is longer happening at Disney. They just didn't see eye-to-eye with what we wanted to do with it. Wilmer and I hope to find another home for it someday. Thankfully, I have another show picking up speed (hence my imminent social media break). But, yeah, it's a bummer.

First day on the job and you want respect? Go right up to the most recognizable and respected guy in the newsroom and have him yell at you until you cry. Then it's time to send him a weepy email telling him how disappointed you were that he did all that. Shouldn't have any trouble after that.

Well... I love Paul McCartney's new record. Beautifully produced, totally sincere, surprisingly weird and off-kilter at times. Major 'RAM' vibes for me... The simple little song about George made me tear up! As did the pair of songs in tribute to his parents at the end.

For me, it was most certainly the Baker's Wife, Rapunzel, and the rest in Act Two of INTO THE WOODS, which I saw on Broadway when I was 9 years old.
