The air quality is so bad here with the wildfires that we're being told not to be outdoors for more than a few minutes without a mask. It's definitely choking me, giving me a pulsing headache, and it's hard to breathe. We have 2 air filter fans going in the house to tamp it down.

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.

Taylor Farms, which supplies major fast food and grocery chains, was identified as the possible source of the cyclosporiasis outbreak Thursday.

100 pages in, Jordan Harper's A VIOLENT MASTERPIECE is living up to the hype so far. Crackles with energy and outrage and loaded with vibrant characters. Reads a little like James Ellroy updated for the modern age, with all sorts of thinly veiled jabs at real-life scoundrels like Max Landis.

If you need robots to write for you, you should be fucking furious that you had such a boring childhood. Where’s your trauma, your rage, your screaming into the void? How did your parents go so wrong?

Anyone else preorder the OBSESSION 4K from Amazon and receive a delivery delay email today? I was anticipating arrival tomorrow but now they're saying delivery is delayed until July 26. That sucks.

This is pretty well known, but the Australian flag Sam Neill wore on his uniform in Event Horizon was designed at his request to show the Union Jack replaced with the Aboriginal flag, because he hoped in the future this is how it would actually look. A proper fucken ally in every way, this bloke.

Sam Neill on profile in EVENT HORIZON, with a patch on his jacket that shows the Australian flag but with the Union Jack replaced with the Aboriginal flag, because fuck colonialism and Sam knew that this always was, always will be, Aboriginal land

Cover for Lauren Beukes' THE SHINING GIRLS. Okay, so it's Elisabeth Moss' face in the center, staring at you. But I don't know how to describe it. It's like soft and blemish free, like a thousand filters were applied...wait, that's it. Elisabeth Moss took an instagram picture and went wild with the filters, making things soft, out of focus, blemish free, cartoonish, then posted it. I have not read this yet, or seen the show, but I'm betting the cover style has something to do with the story.

There's a circle on the left that says "Stream on [Apple symbol]tv+" and we all hate that because it's covering the cover.
