Time for a Royal Commission into Zionist lobbying in Australian politics, art, culture, media, etc. Carpentry website: https://t.co/5amjZEGIW9 Nature is my religion.

Considering a new career as a gold & sapphire prospector. Will give me a good excuse to go camping in the bush, desert, whatever. Sometimes I get out there with nothing to do, so I come home early. Fact is I'm bored to death sitting at home plotting a major Lotto victory, instead of small wins.

ABC News (Australia) has adopted "gonna" in place of "going to". Heard it used several times this morning during just 2 minutes of couch blather & weather. ABC was once the epitome of spoken English, but it's slid into the murk along with everything else today.

Nitty-gritty on some cast & some execs in Blade Runner, from Icons Unearthed: Harrison Ford last night. Lots of "Wow!". English director Ridley Scott considered, as Americans say, "a piece of work". Harrison & co-star Sean Young (Rachael) not impressed with each other. Lots more. Worth a look.

Another tiny win in Saturday Lotto. That's 10 of past 19 games. I play 6 x System 7s. I need a 4 number win to show a profit. Did some calculations, based on average payout: If I played 6 System 8s & scored 3 & 3+ winners I'd lose bigly, with scarcely a better chance of success, or profit.

World War II (WWII) has broken out again! Yet another bloody tv docco re-telling us everything we know about WWII. Narrated by Tom Hanks, who became addicted to WWII after Saving Private Ryan. Waiting for docco Peace Has Broken Out Everywhere! To be immediately shut down by warmongers.

I'm becoming addicted to US tv show Mountain Men. Tough guys who've largely shunned modern technology & do what they have to do to survive in harsh conditions. One lives in a teepee, in snow country. "Built it myself and better than one I could buy."

Came across a very small bat when looking for some wood in garage roof space. It wasn't hanging upside down like you might expect; sheltering under some wood. Flew around in circles eventually. Surprised by size of its wings. Unknown species.

Just completed the 2026 Census online. Expect to be bewildered a few times. Australian Bureau of Statistics is preoccupied with your gender & how you see yourself. Largely useless gathering of data for Australia's future.

Fed govt & WA govt might invest in a new oil refinery in WA. It will cost many million$ & take a decade or so to build. That says something about the future of diesel & petrol vehicles in Australia. On other hand, refineries can produce more than fuel products.

Heard on ABC news re Vic Premier changeover: "... it would inevitably lead to ... perhaps". 'Inevitably' and 'perhaps' do not belong in the same sentence. Same category of error as 'fairly unique' and 'one of the only'.

John Menadue: ALP no longer represents the people who vote for it. It is controlled by an unrepresentative coterie of factional heavies and officials..Factions control Labor pre-selections. Internal politics is conducted almost entirely within an elite class. pearlsandirritations.com/post/2026/07...

What is the point of power without purpose?

The ALP Conference this week will be carefully managed, but Labor’s deeper problem is a hollowed-out party increasingly driven by factions, polling and caution.

The big banks are plugging themselves on Facebook. Haven't noticed this before. They are offering special rates for your savings account. Your checking account (pocket book) earns peanuts, unless you've got a few hundred thousand in it. Mine earned 20c last quarter!

Another big Saturday Lotto prize ($20 million), another "weird" result. Winning numbers covered by only 4 last digits (I reduce every number to its last digit). Three numbers ended in 2. Since June 26, 2004, there hv bn 59 4-digit results. 5 or 6 digits far more common (278 & 502 respectively).

Can we also ask Labor to please stop claiming AUKUS is a “jobs bonanza” for Adelaide. It is the opposite of the truth. 1100 jobs were lost in Adelaide when the French contract was cancelled. 5 years later no sub building jobs, but 700 jobs for officials at ASA. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-07...

Billions in new funding for AUKUS shipyards in Adelaide

The billions of dollars in additional funding is another step towards making Australia's nuclear submarine program "a reality".
