The Crime Index is now updated with all of the FBI's 2025 crime, clearance and staffing data. AND it's updated through June 2026 with a sample of 590 agencies nationwide. Murder is down 17%, violent crime is down 6% and property crime is down 10% relative to the first half of 2025. crimeindex.org

You all saw that voter participation was 5.24% in Tuesday’s primaries? That’s the side effect of a lack of choice, a paranoid hostility among leaders toward making voting easier, and years of discouragement.
Alabamians live under a government designed to thwart popular will and discourage voter participation, and most people here do not actually choose to live like this.
