I love creating character art! I’m a visual person at heart. Must be my artist background! I like to know exactly how something looks so I can describe it, and once I do, the words flow. I enjoy word count meters too! I set targets and quotas. And nothing motivates more than a deadline 😁 #TBBChat

I write anywhere! I love working at my desk, but lately I’ve been writing with my laptop on the couch. I write on my phone when the mood strikes. And I’ve enjoyed working in coffee shops. I’d have to say, though, home is the most comfortable. It’s easier to lock in pajamas. #TBBChat

I’d wish for motivation that never disappears. It always does at the worst possible moment. Ideas are never the problem. Staying focused long enough to finish them can be. I’d happily trade one magical wish for the ability to consistently sit down and create. #TBBChat

My favorite thing about writing is getting to tell the stories I want to tell. I read a lot. I like getting lost in other people’s words. It’s fantastic and wonderful. But I love creating the kinds of stories I’d want to read and, hopefully, giving someone one they can get lost in too. #TBBChat

I write best in the morning. Before I ever sit down, I’ll usually take a walk and listen to the playlist I made for my book. Certain songs help me visualize the chapter, so by the time I’m at my desk with a cup of tea, I’m ready to free write from my outline. Editing is a different story. #TBBChat

I have! I've written a few short stories and vignettes about werewolves. They're highly allergic to aconitum... wolfsbane, monkshood, blue rocket... take your pick ☠️🌿 Those stories are currently resting in my plot bunny graveyard, though. I haven't had the time to revive them. #HorrorWritersChat

💙📚 I’ve found editing has phases. The “I can’t believe I wrote this!” phase. The “I can’t believe I wrote this…” phase. And, of course, the “I can’t even” phase. Repeat. It’s a constant cycle of being amazed I can write like that and mortified I can write like that 😅 #WritingCommunity #AmWriting
