I used to be a guy from Ohio. Then spent my 30’s in Austin. And now I find myself in California.

I don't think people are fully prepped for how irrational and aggressive the prediction market customer acquisition blitz is going to be in about three weeks, when football starts. It will be 2019-21 sportsbook marketing (which, disclosure, I accepted work in at the time) on very powerful roids

Sports only works if fans trust the game. The more teams directly partner with prediction markets, the more they risk blurring the line between competition and the money being made off predicting it.

As soon as I saw that Tyler Stephenson interview and the reaction to it I knew the Reds would decide to not move him. Which would be fine if they intended to re-sign him, which they also won’t do.

Throwback to hosting The Sports Emmys earlier this year. It was the day after the Knicks won so at rehearsal I told a PA, to "run and grab me a basketball hat” fully thinking they KNEW i meant Knicks. God bless them, they literally came back, with a Basketball Hat. Details matter. Tour link in Bio

Thinking about that 5 teams you hate the most, and for me it’s basically division rivals plus one or two random teams that hurt me once. Like for baseball- Cards & Cubs are obvious hate. Kinda sorta Pirates but they’re also an unserious franchise so whatever. SF because of 2012. Mets for 1999?
