so i just had a banger video idea: making music on linux without any of my windows VST plugins for 1 week i still rely on them a lot but there are so many bugs and issues... so i want to see how well i can do if i don't use any of them probably gonna stream daily soon

fogpanther.com actually good photoshop alternative for linux??? true it's $70 and not FOSS, but photoshop is so goddamn expensive, this has lifetime updates with one purchase looks very promising vs GIMP which is a UX nightmare ngl do u know how long i have been waiting for this moment...

i am kinda thinking of re-doing my little server homelab setup i've had for the last few years the thing is kind of a mess and i want to do things in a different way after learning everything i have but it sounds like such a pain to move everything and i don't have the kind of time i used to...

strange coincidence but i noticed that there were 3 different games released near the end of the 7th gen consoles that were all the 5th entries in their franchises, and they've all been re-released to hell and back, and still don't have any sequels yet (well 2 are at least announced but still...)

(1/2) so just in case the gravity of the RAM shortage hasn't fully sunk in yet here's all consumer tech affected by the AI boom + resulting shortages: - RAM modules (ofc) - graphics cards (they have VRAM) - CPUs (they have cache) - SSDs (similar chips to RAM) - HDDs (AI data centers buying in bulk)

i don't want to be too much of a doomer on here. i know this site is an escape for a lot of people. i understand how important it is to have that. but man it feels like everything has been collapsing over the last year. the internet, economy, government... it's difficult for me to feel any hope rn.

Windows 10 End of Life is in less than 2 weeks! But you don't have to upgrade to Windows 11!! This video will show you how to extend the life of Windows 10 by 3 more years via Extended Security Updates program safely, for free. MS throws you to the wolves, but the wolves will throw you a bone.

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone - tech is now more expensive - you cannot trust most media of reality anymore - programs barely function - energy prices - literal psychosis - your voice can be literally stolen for evil - more spyware but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.
