Centrists seem to have this notion that bigots are just hurt people, and if we can heal them, they will stop being bigots. That's a lie rooted in paternalism. Bigots have to heal themselves. No one can do it for them, but we can hurt a lotta innocent people trying.

Either you let yourself get played or you agree with bigots or both, which suggests you aren’t worth keeping as a news source.
