The godless Canadian liberal baking & gardening accountant you were warned about. Team Cobra Chicken. Slava Ukraini. She/her.

I’m not a mixologist, I just play one in my kitchen, but this is just wrong on several levels. I’m not against a savory cocktail, but this goes so wrong. First, the egg white & lemon read like “oh, a sour”. Fat washed rye says “rich & strong”. Salty cheese is “dirty martini” vibes.

“Zelenskyy could’ve stopped this war many times, and he chose not to … he better damn well stop” — Trump is no longer trying to conceal that he’s fully on Putin’s side

This is outrageous. Donald Trump just announced a deal with Vladimir Putin to import Russian diesel, and Treasury immediately lifted sanctions on Russian diesel exports through April. Those sanctions exist for one reason. They limit the money Putin can use to wage his brutal war on Ukraine.

When Wilfred Grenfell came to Newfoundland and Labrador in 1892, he had one goal. Improve the lives of the people living there. To this day, he is celebrated there for his selfless dedication. This is his story. 📸 Walter Stoneman 🧵 1/10

Deepak Karra (deepak_karra on IG) captured this shot of a pink robin, native to the forests of South Australia & Tasmania. In technical terms, this is a bird shaped like an orb, or 'BORB'. 🐦🟣 Reminder that this little guy is a direct descendant of theropod dinosaurs like T. rex. (📷: Deepak Karra)

A poof of bright pink belly feathers that looks like one of those fuzzy pencil-toppers is surmounted by a dark grey head in which is a wary dark eye. It's gripping a pink flowering branch that changes from nearly vertical to actually vertical, requiring a sort of death grip by the legs.

Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

Good article. I’m gonna go a bit farther and say that direct democracy may be the WORST form of democracy. In a representative democracy, I choose my representative who then is supposed to sit in government and legislate in the best interests of their constituents. That’s the theory anyway…
