Genre stalwart John Saxon would have been 90 today. A *very* busy actor who bounced between films & TV, he's in such classics as BLACK CHRISTMAS and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, and he does a wonderful job in the chilling NIGHT GALLERY episode "I'll Never Leave You - Ever." He died at age 83.

NEW from me: I think this is the perfect time to use Rachel Maddow’s oft-repeated phrase - ‘watch what they do- not what they say.’ Ignore Ellison's PR pitch, but look at what's happening at CBS News including directing reporters to add “facts” that did not exist. open.substack.com/pub/jennifer...

David Ellison can’t be trusted with CNN

We've already seen how Ellison has wrecked CBS. Don't fall for his PR push on CNN.

And, a lot of older pets die in the heat of summer. It’s that time of year, a lot of losses. I lost my nearly 12 yo Great Dane Monday night. It was a combination of heat & age. Last year, I lost a older horse in July. The year before that, I lost a Mastiff in July. Starting to dread summers.

I was just hit so hard by the death of a beloved dog that it gave me an MS flare. Without discussing specifics, which will bring the Stalker Gestapo screaming to my door, everybody on BlueSky who posts about a pet death is now my Klingon sibling. They just are. Love. Solidarity.

I spent the first 47 years of my life without a dog and I didn't understand the reaction people had. I've now spent the last 5 years with one and I fully get it. So much so that not a day goes by without me dreading the inevitable that will happen, but hopefully not for many years. My best mate.
