Infrastructure allows people to willingly do journeys that they wouldn't have done. Particularly true for families that want to stay fit & avoid busy junctions. Lots of new bike infrastructure to celebrate! Hear how new bike lanes have improved local residents' lives!

We are hosting four Cycling Scotland accredited cargo bike training sessions in the coming months - Feb and March 12th and 26th, 1-4pm. As we approach our recently announced transition with @thebikestation.bsky.social, we are excited to continue our work getting people out on cargo bikes!

So many similar stories about @cargobikemovement.bsky.social here. They offered the first cargobike rides to many who have the gone on to their own or build community hire schemes.

Thanks @cargobikemovement.bsky.social you came to Wester Hailes & gave me my first shot on a cargo bike 🙏🏻 We went on to buy one, partly as long covid mitigation so my wife & me could continue to enjoy cycling, & then we got rid of our car. Best thing we ever did. Brought a lot of joy into our lives.

Thank you @carovarin.bsky.social and others who have shared stories about CBM. It's really special to hear what that first time a cargo bike, and the ripple effects that this first interaction can make! We're hoping to collect more testimonies as we approach a new chapter of CBM's story🚲

It's bittersweet for everyone in @cargobikemovement.bsky.social, but moving into @thebikestation.bsky.social is seriously the best way to protect and further our mission here. While technically it's a 'winding down' in reality: we're still here! Just part of a bigger team. Watch this space!

We have rescheduled our Give it a Go event this Friday the 31st on the Links! If you're curious about riding a cargo bike, we'll be there to show people the ropes and have a chat. We'll be joined by @banzaiedinburgh.bsky.social who run a local cargo bike loan scheme in Brunstfield 🚵‍♀️

We had a blast at our Give it a Go session last week! We had people out on cargo bikes for the first time, some tasty baked goods and lovely chats. Watch this space for future events 🚲👀
