*NEWS* Georgian treasures unearthed beneath Bath Assembly Rooms @nationaltrust.org.uk is transforming Bath Assembly Rooms & as part of this work, investigations overseen by Wessex Archaeology have uncovered a fascinating collection of objects hidden beneath the building, which first opened in 1771.

It’s that time of year we shine a spotlight on the stories often hidden beneath our feet: buff.ly/ARbB1jt The Festival of Archaeology, organised by @archaeologyuk.bsky.social, is here! If you’re curious about finds from your garden or have a desire to dig, you're sure to find an event near you.

The #FestivalofArchaeology starts tomorrow, Saturday 18 July and runs until Sunday 2 August. Lots of @nationaltrust.org.uk properties are taking part, with staff and volunteers offering a huge range of activities including guided walks, mini excavations, heritage spotter trails and finds handling.
