I'm so bad at having conversations around 'good' or 'bad' games. It's not that i don't have opinions on styles of play that i like or dislike, but I feel constantly like that 'lotta nuance in a ritz cracker if you think about it' tweet. Every design has something to learn from.

Got a job interview question about 'how do you process long documents quickly and summarize for clients?' and I answered 'well my hobby is reading 400 page rulebooks and then convincing my friends that 400 pages of rules is a lot of fun actually. And it works.'

Finally finished City Council of Darkness. Definitely wasn't for me - but it's gotten me thinking about the limits of 'yes and' as advice for GMs and as an approach to play. Ttrpgs share a lot of elements of improv, but the two are not synonymous.
