Bestriding the internet like some kind of weird colossus or something

1st grade holiday play, I'm elf #3. My fellow elves stopped "working" on their toys during the parts where we were supposed to sing. Goddamn casuals. SOME of us have artistic INTEGRITY, took our director's notes seriously, and continued to work on our toys like the Xmas Wolf would eat us for real.

please delight me with your most on-brand story from your childhood mine is that I quit Cubs after two weeks because it clashed with Coronation Street

The most hotly contested race in my district is the school board, so I'm not fussed to vote early. Just got back from my (teensy) polling place and the judges were concerned about running out of ballots. There was only one touchscreen, so that could be a problem! Let's goooo!

Sticker given out to Chicago voters.

Not super niche, but corset tightening in anything, but ESPECIALLY Regency era stuff. No one! Can see! Your waist! It's a glorified bra! What the fuck? Also historical drama women with hair down. It's not freeing! It's in the way! OF OPEN GODDAMN FLAMES! Braid that shit and stick it under a cap!

Prompts a fun question: whats the most niche historical inaccuracy in a piece of work that annoys you Not like 'oh they were referring to the wrong king' , more 'they had the wrong king on a banknote in one scene'
