I mean, I’m not in Michigan, so I wasn’t really paying much attention to this race until a couple of months ago, but just listening to a few minutes of each candidate speaking either in interviews or at public events made it clear to me which one I’d support. Stevens was like a bad SNL character. 

The other day at Tesco, Shalamar's There It Is (released in 1982) started playing. A young mom was humming it, and a middle-age woman was singing along (as was I). I was gobsmacked that people knew it! It never even charted in the US, but turns out it made it to #5 on the UK charts.
