From story on Alberta journalist intimidation: When a Globe reporter asked Ms. Smith about the story ... she said “I’m not talking about that” and laughed as she walked away. In an interview with CTV later in the day, she said, “I condemn it.” www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/alber...

Pretty wild to see the movement morphing from bitter single men to people who had marriages and children blowing it all up.
“Byers said these men often want to represent themselves during divorce proceedings, animated by a perception that the family court system is biased against husbands and fathers.” "They see this as the fight of their lives, and they're fighting the good fight on behalf of men and boys everywhere”

Alberta as we know it today simply would not exist without the millions of immigrants and refugees who built it, who loved it, and who were proud to call it home - including my grandparents and my mum. This bitter xenophobia is as unAlbertan as it’s possible to be. I’m ashamed. I’m disgusted.
Alberta Next survey asks if province should withhold social services for immigrants www.rmoutlook.com/alberta-news...
To take the government's survey, you must watch a video for each topic. On immigration, the video suggests Alberta stop taking refugees and take away the funding for their social programs. Reminder: Canada turned away the Komagata Maru in 1914, and the MS St. Louis in 1939.

It took us so long to have the right to love who we love in public, and we’ve embraced this change so beautifully that some of the younger kids now don’t understand how recent it is. It all feels so fragile now. My heart breaks for Jonathan and Tristan.
