Centrists have nothing to offer voters anymore. The “we’re not Trump” message worked for a few cycles but when you lose to Trump 2x, it’s over. Since then, they’ve been running on supporting Israel and crying foul about mean leftists and that’s it. They deserve this.
From pages 38-45 of this remarkable book is a section on journalism that is so urgent, so compelling, so precise in identifying some of the major flaws and failures of mainstream journalism as an industry at this moment in time, that I wish I could make all American journalists read it.
To be a historian is to speak ill of the dead and the rest of you should take more history classes and join us.

New York City is the media capital of the country. Delaney Hall is nine miles from Manhattan. There is zero reason to not have wall to wall coverage of the hunger strike, the horrific conditions and ICE violence. The indie journalists need strength in numbers, and not just during business hours.
