This whole thing has my head spinningโso many things are simultaneously true: 1) The Islamophobic attacks on El-Sayed are vile, and 2) El-Sayed has come *really* close to the line on antisemitism, and 3) Piker is awful, and El-Sayed deserves to be tarred by the association until he jettisons him.
What interpretation is there for this except that 1) American Jews are uniquely responsible for Israel, 2) people responsible Israel for will be subject to violence (and deserve it) and 3) therefore American Jews must "distance" themselves from Israel or be subject to that violence.
