Freelance Canadian editor of many things. (Hire me!) Disabled neurospicy trans queerdo. Very sweary. Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult. linktr.ee/chellenator

Just collected about 200 reusable fabric grocery bags from local queer+trans community and dropped them off at our local food bank, who put out a desperate SOS request on Facebook. I did not expect a standing ovation from the staff? YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO ME. I'M TOO AUTISTIC.

Consistently masking at conventions is unpleasant, uncomfortable, and sometimes chafes my ears. But as I have not added severe illness to this year's carousel of exhaustion, I am glad to continue doing it, and continue to recommend it to my peers.

You know how all those political 'we will match your donation by X amount' things are BS? This isn't. This is people banding together to try to get a family to safety ASAP. I'm one of the matchers. Please consider contributing, let us know so we can match and keep track, or share. Thank you!

I already have the first $100. Another $150 by 6:30 pm EDT and my match jumps to $500. @shademar.bsky.social @wingsndnsilver.bsky.social

Chronic pain (and illness) patients experience this as a constant stream of “oh no, how awful, have you tried physical therapy/marijuana/ibuprofen”? There are two reasons this sucks. One: of course we have tried these things. Two: the exhaustion of dealing with this keeps us from talking about it.

I hope ppl realize that when someone says "This is the situation" and doesn't ask for advice that A) they're not asking for advice, so don't offer any, but also B) when you offer really basic advice it's fucking insulting because do you think the person involved has never considered anything before?
