Oh god not another one of these Right okay I’m a disabled queer trans parent ADHD gym rat techie nerd. I help people with the awesome folks at @distributeaid.org

If I were to do some writing about how to think about the safety and ethics in AI use, would people be interested in that? Are there cool people already doing this that I should know about?

My apologies to anyone who might get the impression that I’m an avid poster I’m just here tonight because insomnia is winning the battle against sedatives

I’ve recently been reading _Seeing Like A State_ (thanks to the person here who recced it to me!) and among other things it reminds me that malicious compliance (among other techniques) is a great thing to do in the face of fascism.

[Context: I’m on a scout RV trip.] I don’t mean to brag but at least one teen (not mine) strongly wanted me to DJ for the evening I think that means I’m a Cool Parent (again, my teen strongly disagrees)

Chat is it good when you’re just tired all the time and never want to get out of bed (I probably ought to email my doctor but there’s sweet fuck all her can do to speed up the specialist appointment to address the probably-endometriosis)

The thing about being a cog in the machine: you know that the instant you malfunction or wear down, you’re done. No one retires from tech. We all break or burn out or get enough money to run. Even those us who came to it because we loved it.
