Big Walk took me by surprise not only thanks to its ingenious teamwork puzzles but also because of its focus on nature. It reminded me about how being in the woods helped me overcome my anxiety. The deep connections I made along the way were an unexpected bonus. Here is my latest opinion piece.

A thing I'll say about Big Walk is that if you're at all sold on it already, consider not reading any reviews until you've played it, because it's even better when you don't know what's coming. I tried to tread as lightly as possible in my review but probably spoiled a couple of small things.

Growing up in the US as a white kid the second i showed interest i was shut down by not just my peers but grownups who assumed anime was a fast track to porn. It wasnt until high school i found out that some peers were still watching anime, and they were nearly all latino.

I will provide one thing for the discourse - people in the US did hate anime - quite extensively. A lot of it was racist assumptions in the same way old X-Play did toward Japanese games bc it was new and people are xenophobic. It got better more quickly, specifically thanks to Latino and Black fans
