"Both votes SNP" was a deliberately constructed excuse not to pursue a 2nd referendum. 2024 and 2026 have seen tumbling results and no signs of the SNP leadership doing much about it other than boasting about how well they are managing devolution on Westminster’s behalf.

I lived in Spain 15 yrs. I'm fluent in Spanish, worked as an interpreter & was integrated into the Spanish community. None of those flag waving Brits in Spain thinks they're an immigrant. They're "expats". They complain about immigrants in the UK not learning English with no awareness of the irony.
