A person's immigration status makes them a target for enforcement, not their skin color, race or ethnicity.

I want it to be very clear that this doesn't just affect people with mental illness or addiction. It doesn't just affect their families, either. It will impact every single American with a decrease in quality of life, because the services that help people also buffer the community.

No one should feel scared to exist in this country. We need guardrails on DHS and ICE, and elected officials who will enforce them. In this country that I love, we stand up for our rights and each other. We can choose compassion over cruelty, and humanity over fear. #BeGood
