As a scientific society, we're committed to inclusivity and making sure everyone has a spot at the table. Registration is $500, we secured a discounted hotel rate of $250/night, & flights are $700+. Lunches are an extra $30/day. Travel awards for $200 available. See you there!

As a publisher, we use our billions of dollars in profits to continuously update our products. It's how we stay up-to-date and on the cutting edge of technology and the zeitgeist. That's why we always ask people for their beeper and fax numbers.

New meta by @peterhaehner.bsky.social et al (I'm a little middle author) on individual differences in personality change across the lifespan (229 studies, N = 230k) 10.1037/bul0000525 Cool finding (imo): For all Big Five, variance in change is greatest in youth, declining through young adulthood!

Individual differences in change for each of the Big Five across ages 0 to 80. The trend for each trait is that individual differences in change are decreasing with age.

Every year, there's a new set of awful supreme court decisions. Every year, I get to repost the time that the local news thought I was a student and asked for my commentary

I went through 4 personality handbooks and asked 2600 people how important it is to study each topic listed (from 1 to 5). All were rated above the midpoint (yay!), but mental health/psychopathology, genetics/heritability/neurology, emotion regulation/happiness, and change/identity stood out.
